The Speakers

Steve Weber Speaker Bio

Do you remember the first time you saw the movie Forrest Gump? What lessons did you take away from it? Did it have any impact on your life?

It certainly did for Steve Weber, our keynote speaker for the Biz Blackout Networking Events. Steve’s keynote presentation combines the principles of Gumption, the life lessons from the movie Forrest Gump, and stories from his own life. Steve’s goal is to inspire individuals to embrace change and create their own gump-like lives.

But what does this have to do with you and your small business? How can a conversation about feathers and boxes of chocolates be of value to an entrepreneur? Well, what if Steve’s message about Gumption could create a shift in your business, a real shift with amazing results?

Steve’s message of personal responsibility – which he calls Gumption  – dovetails with this message of change. The three principles of Gumption set a clear understanding of why we need to change and provide an unforgettable call to action. His Function with Gumption action plan provides the tools to embrace change. What needs to change in your business?

Gumption starts with a way of being. That way of being leads to action. That action produces desired results. Function with Gumption!

For 15 years Steve was the Forrest Gump impersonator for Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. During that time, Bubba Gump grew from a single location to more than thirty US and international units with combined sales of more than $100M. Steve has appeared on hundreds of radio and TV shows and has been photographed millions of times. Steve’s purpose is to bring smiles to the people he meets and inspire individuals to create their own gump-like lives.  Life is like a box of chocolates … you get to choose the life you want!
